Sebenernya sih lupanya bukan karena sibuk. Tapi yaa karena kejadian ini sebenernya ga terlalu berpengaruh besar terhadap kehidupan gw juga. Jadi niat awalnya mau nulis jadi bisa lupa.

Siapapun yang lahir antara tahun... 1960an sampe tahun 2005 pasti tau lah syapa Michael Jackson? How can we not know? He's the guy, with most selling records, most hits, most charities, most scandals, and most controversies ever to have walked on earth. He's like the biggest thing ever in the music world. Ya okay lah, dia emang ga seterkenal Nabi Muhammad, or even Jesus, tapi yang pasti dia salah satu icon terbesar and also biggest phenomenon di dunia music. (and why am I mixing languange? it's so kampung you know, tapi ya sutralah yaa).
When he died? Know what happen?? The whole internet connection in the world was jammed. Yessiree, Google ngejam 35 menit, bgitu juga Wikipedia & Twitter. Gila ya? I guess when kings die they have to go big. Dan sampe sekarang pun, smua orang masiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiih aja ngomongin tentang MJ the Jacko. Gw juga ga ngerti kenapa tu orang orang masiiih aja ngomongin dia. Sampe sampe kalo gw ke ITC mau beli cd pun, pasti ada aja orang yang tiba-tiba nanya sama mas2/mba2nyaa: "Mba, ada CD nya Michael Jackson ga? Yang manapun deh." and frankly, those places that I've been? They're all SOLD OUT yo. Dirumah juga tiba-tiba aja satu keluarga gw langsung bongkar koleksi CD masing2 (except me, of course, naturally) buat nyari CD Michael Jackson yang nyelip-nyelip. Harusnya sih, dengan smua orang di seluruh dunia beli albumnya dia, ampe sold out gitu, gw rasa harusnyaaaa utangnya dia yang ampe $6.000.000 itu bisa kebantu laah. But, hey, I dunno with all the piracy that has been going.
Yang aneh sih, gw ga ngerti kenapa smua orang sampe sgitunya sama Jacko the Wacko. Karena buat gw, kalo orang meninggal yaa udah, smua orang toh juga akan meninggal (lain halnya kalo itu keluarga gw, baru gw akan meraung raung nangis sedihnya, tapi ya allah jangan dulu yaaaa). People are going MAD! They cried as if he were their own family. Mungkin, well, he helped them through somethings kali yaaa. It's music after all, music is like magic. Maybe Michael Jackson for those people are like... I dunno, maybe Justin Timberlake for me (har har har, yes I like Justin Timberlake), or Jonas Brothers for teenie boppers nowadays. Makanya mungkin mereka sampe sgitunya. Ya tapi jangan kayak Imaniar (washed out Indonesian singer) juga, sok sok kesurupan arwah Michael Jackson. But hey, stiap orang punya cara yang berbeda-beda buat mengekspresikan kesedihan mereka kan?
Come to think of it, smua artis yang terkenal sekarang juga pasti terinfluence sama dia. Jadi, agak bohong juga sih kalo hidup gw ga terpengaruh sama Michael Jackson. Without him, artis-artis yang gw tonton skarang mungkin narinya lempeng2 boy-band ballet aja gitu, ga ada moonwalk-nya. Oh yes, how I love the moonwalk, or just how the way he dance. Ya tau lah gimana caranya dia nari... smua artis2 korea juga narinya kayak dia smua skarang.
Tapi entah kenapa, for me, all I can remember about was his scandals. And how odd, or... pshyco he was? Like the time he hung his baby son from the balcony. Itu gw udah kayak... "AAAAAAAAAARGH IT'S A BABY YOU FREAKING DUMMO!" gila apaa, kalo jatoh gimana????? sakit jiwa. And the time he was accused of molesting a child. Entah kenapa gw juga ga terlalu percaya sih kalo dia bisa molest anak-anak. Ya tapi waktu itu gw agak kebawa emosi karena I was... 12? at the time. Ya pokoknya masih kecil. And I watched the trial special on E!Channel, jdi kebawa kali yaa. And his nose! Oh my god. what is UP with THAT?! he was close to not having any flare on his nose. Better yet, it was only a bone. covered with so little of skin.
But anywhooo, it still wrong for people to make fun of him even though it's funny. It's still rude. Especially when he's dead now. No matter what he did, what weird things he had done to his body (like bleaching his body white, multiple continuous plastic surgery on his nose), Michael Jackson is still and always be the one only and the first King Of Pop. Walaupun Justin Timberlake dikasih julukan the new king of pop, tetep aja kan yang pertama michael jackson? He changed music, he MADE music. He MADE the DANCE, the Moonwalk dance. And frankly, can anybody beat him?? His records, are top-notch. Black or White, PYT, Billy Jean, Beat It Thriller, come to think of it, my sister and I had our Michael Jackson too back in the days. Tapi yang paling penting buat gw, dia meninggalnya secara Islam. Itu aja. :D
